Mission Statement
In view of the enormous cultural diversity and variance in political system of India, we decided to enhance our scope of work by renewing our mission statement. This is in order to achieve the best out of the current economic power shift in the global arena and concurrent demographic shifts in the US.
Our Mission:
To facilitate in building bridges for Washington State and its citizens, with their counterparts in India; beginning with establishing sister state relationships between Washington State and the States in India - Odisha in the East; Assam in the Northeast; Andhra Pradesh in the South; Gujarat in the West and Punjab in the North; Primary focus being, but not limited to, infrastructure development, renewable and clean energy, tourism, education and social services. We will engage by respecting the diversity in the cultures and languages with the ultimate goal of delivering true value of bilateral relationships.
Established in 2007, WASITRAC has been registered in the State of Washington as a non-profit advocacy group since 2009 working for a stronger US-India bilateral trade relations.
WASITRAC supports President Obama's National Export Intiatives (NEI) by helping firms especially US based small and medium businesses -- entering new export markets in India and bringing in Indian investments in to the US in the desired sectors -- by facilitating much needed advocacy, interactions and trade missions to achieve its mission as defined above.
