Akshya Kumar Parija

Noted Banker, Globe trotter, and Philanthropist, Akshya Kumar Parija (popularly known as "Kumar" among his friends) is an avid promoter of international culture and the performing arts around the world. He gained international name and fame by winning many accolades and awards for his debut film "The Living Ghost" as a producer. In March 2010 he was awarded the prestigious Silver Lotus by the President of India Mrs. Pratibha Patil for the same film as the Best Film on Environment on Conservation and Preservation and for sensitive portrayal of exploitation in the name of development.

Being a banker for more than thirty years in the Middle East, Mr. Parija is also a board member of the Blue LInes Shipping DMCEST in Dubai. WASITRAC is fortunate to have him as a supporter and also the liasion for India and the Middle East.
